DO NOT edit the normals of the FBX's. The normals for the fur are specifically set up to blend together. You can set the shading to normal smooth shading to use without the custom normals, use 'Shade Auto Smooth' for the custom normals.

  • Added ARKit face tracking shape keys.
  • Added New Unity File which has a fully set up VTuber model for VSeeFace.
  • VTuber version of model has physics and animations for ears to move with face tracking.
  • Added digitigrade support. There are now 3 FBX: Optimized, PC/Quest, and Digitigrade.
  • There are now 4 uploadable models in the VRChat Unity File: PCPlanti, PCDigi, Quest, and Optimized. (Check Instructions .txt before using Digi!)
  • Added the new following shape keys: Chest Thin, Hips Out, Waist Thin, Waist Wide, Tail Thin, ABS, Paws Hide Hands, Paws Hide Feet, Small Head Fur Hide, and Chubb.
  • New UV Mapping for fur, allows much more customization. (Dont worry, body and head UV mapping is the same, so no redoing those textures!)

  • Added transparent PNG layers of the textures, so you can layer them together in any art program to recreate the textures and change the colors if wanted.

  • Scene HDRI has been changed to not be so bright on the eyes.

Fixes:

  • Fixed chest fur clipping when chest fur was hidden and breasts toggle was on.
  • Ears and some fur are no longer joined together by a few verts.
  • Removed unused fur material blend tree layer from FX so model should no longer be uploading pink in some cases.
  • Optimized FBX now shares all shape keys with the other FBX

Updates/Changes:

  • Fixed the Quest model actually not being a Quest model (so sorry for this. It actually should be uploadable now.)
  • Removed the random .assets file and the vrm folder from the major .zip file. (If it was ever there, I noticed it in my unzipped file I used for upload so figured it must have been there, it actually wasnt supposed to be lol!)
  • Polished up the VRChat Unity File a bit.
  • Slightly Updated the .spp file.
  • Added an instructions .txt for using the texture layers.
  • Edited the glitter on the fur slightly.
  • Added Outline Size Mask for face (no more outline on eyes, inner mouth, and smaller outline on whiskers for a much cleaner look!)

the LORE

Starlumes are native to an alien planet with an low oxygen atmosphere. Due to this, the planet is filled with very thick rainforests, and fully freshwater lakes and rivers.

The thick umbrella like trees create a 'ceiling' separating the forest into three levels.

The bottom level is pitch black and filled with bioluminescent carnivorous plants, that use their bright colors to lure in bugs and small creatures.

It also is damp and usually filled with small creeks and ponds as well, from all the rainwater that trickles down from the large forest canopy.

The second level gets filtered sunlight through the trees, and is usually where majority of herbivores on the planet live, as its where majority of the plants fruit.

The upper level looks like an endless field of leaves, and has little creatures living there aside from an occasional bug or bird.

The Starlume originates on the bottom level of this planet. Due to them being carnivorous, they tend to have bright glowing patterns on their fur, and glowing antennae in their ears, that lure in bugs and prey similar to the carnivorous plants. They usually hunt by hiding in bushes of non carnivorous bioluminescent plants, and picking off bugs that approach thinking its safe.

They also have huge pupils that cover most of their eyes, giving them a more 'alien' like look. This is so they can see easily in the dark environment.

They can move on all fours or on just their hind legs. Their have thick fluffy fur as well that is hydrophobic, that allows them to swim in the many bodies of water easily, which is necessary.

When a starlume is young, their fur is usually longer than normal, and their tail and antennae are the first to grow as they mature, giving them a bit of a goofy look. As they age and get older, the bright colors of their fur fades, but their bioluminescence gets stronger, as well as the fact their fur gets longer and more 'rough' looking, similar to that of an old cat.

Sometimes Starlumes are born without the bioluminescent spots, and tend to be sheltered more by family without this trait. They can also be born with 2 sets of ears, more ear antennae or none at all, and can have bland simple fur patterns, or very detailed and intricate patterns (aka, you are free to make them look however!)

Their personality is shy yet playful, as well as very passive. They will not attack unless cornered or threatened. Their claws have a similar build as the fang of a viper. At the tip of their claws are very tiny microscopic holes, that eject hirudin, the same anticoagulant produced by leeches, which means an simple attack from a starlume could be deadly.
